The welcoming atmosphere. Students of all ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged to develop their love of dance. The staff looks out for each students unique needs, encouraging them so that they want to improve. Our daughter found a love for dance through Genesis and always looks forward to class so much that she is the one rushing us out of the door to leave rather than the other way around.

The confidence dance and the studio gives my daughter is truly a gift. When my daughter started she was shy, unconfident and always said she “wasn’t good enough” to challenge herself. The teachers, older dancers and her peers have gave her so much joy, confidence and a can do attitude that pushes her to do her best, set and exceed goals and an all around amazing support system that cheers her on. Dance also pushers her to be physical and gives her an outlet outside the tablet or phone. At 7 she’s making healthy choices and has an awareness of her body and its health. Genesis is a family for us and the friends my daughter (and myself) have made are relationships we will cherish for years to come. My daughter becomes alive when she dances, when she hits that stage she’s truly the best version of herself and we will forever be grateful to GDC for this.

We love the community and family environment! GDC is a small, boutique, style studio, which we love! Everybody knows each other, and looks out for one another, and my child is not just a number on a team. We also love the studio’s commitment to original and creative choreography and overall dance visions!

The flexibility to do other sports/events is great. Smaller studio which is a very different vibe than a larger studio. If conflicts arise with your schedule & the dance schedule, there is more avability to make adjustments due to the studio size. You are able to be as involved as you want or don't, parent-wise. You don't feel like just another number & your voice will be heard here.

4 of my children have danced at Genesis and have absolutely loved it. I really feel they are people first company, as in they create such a positive and loving environment. The children are not just a number. They are part of a family. The teachers are amazing!!! They are supportive of everyone and push them to be their best. Their choreography is top of the line as well. We look forward to many more years at Genesis!
I have been dancing for 16 years which feels like basically my whole life. It hasn’t processed in my head yet that it is officially coming to an end. Through the years dance has brought me to some of my best friends and I still am dancing with them today. All the staff at Genesis have always been there for me every step of the way and they truly transformed me into the dancer I am today. I'm so thankful that my mom decided to put 2 year old Lucy into dance and I stuck with it my whole life. I don’t regret it one bit. My favorite memory from Genesis is all the funny combos we would make at the studio, all nighters, and Texas nationals! I want to thank my parents for always being my here for me no matter what and showing up to every single competition. I love you guys to the moon and back. Dance will forever hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life.

When I first switched over to Genesis I was nervous about making the change, but I am so glad I did. My time here at Genesis will be something I will always cherish, and I’m so grateful I got to have this experience. Thank you to God, my family, teachers, teammates, and friends. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. Over these past 9 years I have made so many long-lasting relationships, gained many memories, and I have learned many lessons in and outside of dance. I am definitely going to miss our practices and all the talks we had during them, competition days, and all our random moments like bursting out into song. I am sad to see this part of my life come to an end, but I am so excited to see what the future holds!

My time dancing at Genesis Dance Company has been nothing short of amazing. The past 8 years of my dance experience has helped me improve not only as a dancer but as a person. My team has also had a great impact on me. I will always cherish the way dancing has brought me closer to so many of my friends, especially this year. I have made so many great memories from my time at Genesis, but some of my favorite memories were from nationals trips and studio sleepovers. Thank you to my team, family, and teachers for always supporting me though my dance journey, and for teaching me lessons in and outside the studio. Although I am sad to see this chapter of my life close, the mark it has left on me is significant.

Dancing at Genesis Dance Company has been one of the best experiences. I have loved being apart of this family. Getting to interact and get to know so many people that created relationships I will cherish forever. The ability to come to practice and feel accepted by my teachers and teammates has created the confidence I have today. A memory I will remember forever is going to nationals in Galveston and winning after all the trials we went through as a team. I would not be where I am today with out my parents, teachers, teammates, and friends.

Genesis Dance Company has been my second home for as long as I can remember. I’m incredibly grateful to have had such supportive, loving parents and sisters throughout every year of dance, and am blessed I grew up in such a loving atmosphere surrounded by amazing friends and teachers. Thank you Genesis for fueling my love of dance and shaping me into the person I am today. This has been such a wonderful last year alongside the other seniors, Kia, Nick, and Michelle, and I have loved every minute of it. I’m going to miss our storytelling sessions and singing in class when we get side tracked. Thank you Genesis for making each and every year one to remember, especially my last. I love you all!
